People of the Rio Grande Valley Border Towns: Anonymous 10, "They kind of saw me as a threat sometimes I feel because I was such a hardworking person." Anonymous 10 is a bartender in McAllen working as the premier cocktail bartenders in town. Anonymous 10 tells about how he was raised in his father's restaurant in Mexico, and learned the ins and outs of the industry before coming to the United States to be a bartender. When he was young he and his family would travel 8 hours to the United States for vacation with their tourist visas. It is with his tourist visa that he began his process of establishing permanent residency. At the time of the interview Anonymous 10 is just within 2 months of receiving his permanent U.S. residency.
